With Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the “shopping season” it’s easy to get distracted from what pulled us together just a few days ago on Thanksgiving. Many of us were celebrating and were grateful for the time with family and friends.
Yet the constant bombardment of what you should buy overshadows the simple pleasures of life. Time, laughter, kindness, and comfort cannot be bought and are the true pleasures of this season. For the month of December I challenge you to take a few minutes each day to reflect on the small things that bring you joy. Whether it’s a smile from the crossing guard or the sun shining in the sky, take time to acknowledge the small joys that we often overlook. It will bring brightness to these dark winter days.
Let’s Learn. Change. Grow. together!
