How to Encourage Creativity and Create Good Work Habits

How does your creative flow process work? How often do you experience a creative block? We were hooked when we came across Danielle LaPorte’s, 5 Pointers for developing freedom-based creativity & work habits. Her blog got us thinking about our own pointers to encourage creativity and create good work habits. Here’s our list below.

  1. Being Still and Paying Attention to What God is Saying
It’s very easy for us to get so caught up in the busyness of the day that we forget just to be still and listen. Regardless if you pray or meditate, make time to be still and quiet your thoughts. It’s amazing what you hear and realize when you make time to be still.

  2. Take Breaks Throughout the Day to Stay Productive
Skip the midday burnout by taking breaks throughout the day. Get up from your desk and go on a short walk. Take a power nap. Studies show that if you take breaks throughout the day, they can make you more productive and help reduce mental fatigue. Remember it’s not about how long you work, but the quality of your work.

  3. Be Passionate
Love what you do! You won’t love every minute of it but when you have something in your life that you’re passionate and excited about it makes the hard times easier.
