Dr. Ogechi Violet Nwordu is a post-doctoral counselor who received her doctoral training from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia and completed her internship at the University of Delaware. Dr. Nwordu Integrates Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Mindfulness to help BIPOC individuals improve their stress management skills, develop resilience, and increase their self-confidence/self-esteem to excel in various environments.
Dr. Nwordu has completed grant-funded research aimed at helping BIPOC individuals address racial trauma. She has presented this topic at conferences. In addition, she has written articles on issues related to the health disparity gap and providing culturally competent treatment for BIPOC individuals.
Dr. Nwordu is originally from Nigeria. Before starting her doctoral training in clinical psychology, she worked as a school psychologist in Indiana, Nevada, and Pennsylvania for several years. Additionally, she is an avid runner, holding multiple track and field records at Eastern Illinois University and Indiana State University.
