5 Reasons to Be Thankful

We know it’s been a rough couple weeks. With Thanksgiving tomorrow, we decided to write this blog to remember what we are grateful for in this season. Although many of us are still in shock and disbelief by this month’s past events, here are 5 reasons we are still thankful.

After reading our list below, take a minute to fill out this sentence. There is still so much to be thankful for, we just need the right perspective to see it.

I am thankful for ________________.

  1. Friends & Family
No matter what is going on in your life, you have your support system that will be there for you through the ups and downs in life. Text them or give them a call to let them know how much they mean to you this Thanksgiving.
  2. Your Health
The more you appreciate your well-being, the more you will make it a priority. Every breath you take is a reminder that you are alive. Be thankful for your breath and the God-given destiny to achieve something great in your lifetime.
  3. Laughter
Whether it’s the corny joke your co-worker just told you, or the movie you just watched, don’t forget to laugh. Laughter has a way of lightening your soul and putting a smile on your face.
  4. A Warm Place to Lay Your Head
It’s easy to take the basics for granted. As the temperature drops we’re reminded that this is not true for everyone. Be thankful for your warm bed where you can retreat to and allow your body to rest.
  5. Yourself.
We are thankful for you and the uniqueness that you bring to the world. The world needs your special gifts. Take good care of yourself so you can continue to give and do to others.
